What Cosafe costs, and how it is bought
There is no published price list. Here is what drives the number, how the supply route works, and what we will not do.
Who you are actually buying from
Worth being explicit, because the old version of this website was not.
Cosafe Technology AB is a Swedish company. In the UK it is supplied through its distributor, Cyber Distribution Limited of Basingstoke. We buy through that route and sell, install and support it to you as SEGsafe, part of The Specialist Electrical Group.
That means your enquiry comes to us and stays with us. You get one contract, one survey, one installation and one number to ring — rather than a licence from one company, an installation from another and a conversation about whose problem it is when something does not work.
Four things, in roughly this order
Which package
Alert and Respond covers raising the alarm and telling people. Command adds the tools for running the incident — checklists, check-in, the crisis meeting room.
How many users
Licensing is per user. For a school that usually means every member of staff, not every pupil.
How many sites
A trust buying across several schools is a different conversation from a single site, and usually a better one.
What we do around it
Configuration, training, drills and any door or voice work. On a large site this is a meaningful part of the number and the part that decides whether it works.
Three things
These are the habits that gave this market a bad name.
- Quote a licence without having walked the site. On anything above a single small building the survey is what makes the quotation worth having.
- Put a Martyn’s Law deadline in a proposal. The duties have not commenced and the SIA expects spring 2027 — selling on a deadline that does not exist is the thing we are trying to be the opposite of.
- Claim the platform makes you compliant. It does not, nothing does, and the Home Office says so itself.
Before we quote
For any site we will confirm the delivery channels included in your package, what happens for staff without a device to hand, where the data sits and how long it is kept, and the DPA terms — in writing, in the quotation. Those four come from us, not from you having to think of them.
This is not legal advice
Martyn’s Law is not yet in force and no product makes an organisation compliant with it. The duty sits with the responsible person. We sell systems that make a written procedure something your staff can actually perform — that is a different claim, and a defensible one.

A survey first, then a number.
We would rather spend an hour on your site than an hour building a spreadsheet you cannot rely on.
