What it costs
Verkada does not publish UK pricing, so we will not invent it. Here is exactly how a quotation is built, with worked examples.
Why there is no price list on this page
Because it would be made up.
Verkada publishes pricing in US dollars as manufacturer’s suggested retail, not in sterling and not for the UK. Any UK site showing you a firm Verkada price per camera is showing you its own assumption.
What we can do is be completely transparent about what goes into a quotation, so that when you get one — from us or anyone else — you can see how it was built.
Every quotation is these, and nothing else
Hardware
Cameras, controllers, readers, intercoms, sensors, panel. One-off.
Licences
One per device, in 1, 3, 5 or 10-year terms. Longer terms cost less per year. Users are unlimited.
Installation
Containment, cable, power, terminations, commissioning and certification. The part a box price never includes.
Aftercare
Support, changes, and a review. Ours, not the manufacturer’s.
Illustrative scopes, not quotations
These are the shapes of project we do most often. They are here so you can sanity-check a proposal, and the figures behind them come from your own site rather than this page.
| Scope | What it usually includes | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| A first phase for a primary school | One video intercom at the pedestrian gate, access control on two external doors, two vape sensors in the problem toilet block | The most common genuinely useful starting point, and a modest number |
| A secondary school, phase one | Intercom at two gates, access control on eight external doors, six sensors, eight to twelve cameras on approaches and car park | Usually done in a summer holiday |
| A secondary school, full | Thirty to sixty cameras, fifteen to twenty-five doors, ten to twenty sensors, visitor management, alarm | Almost always phased over two or three years |
| A trust standard | Two pilot schools, then a repeatable specification per school | Priced per school against the standard, not per project |
| A hotel | Back of house doors, lobby and approach cameras, intercom at the goods entrance, alarm with monitoring | Front of house camera choice matters as much as coverage |
How our quotations work
Itemised
Hardware, licences, installation and aftercare shown separately, so you can compare like with like.
The term stated
Licence length, what happens at renewal, and what it costs then.
Nothing hidden
If something is an add-on it is on the quotation, not on the first invoice.
No manufactured deadline
We are not going to tell you a legal deadline is coming when it is not.
Things you should not pay anyone for
- The legislation and the Home Office statutory guidance — published free on gov.uk.
- ProtectUK’s free ACT e-learning, a sensible staff-awareness baseline.
- A site survey. Ours is free and it comes with a written summary whether or not you buy anything.
- A 30-day trial camera, which costs you nothing and tells you more than a demonstration.
- The guides on this site, none of which ask for your email address.
